The Story of Zodiac
From an idea
Company was established
Zodiac Enterprises Limited was incorporated in Sri Lanka, primarily focusing on imports and exports.
Leadership Change
That late chairman Mr. Vijaya Ratnayake acquired Zodiac Enterprises Limited with the intention of representing Orthofix s.r.l. Italy as their distributor in Sri Lanka.
First Import Done
The company made its first import of Orthofix External Fixators to Sri Lanka. Following this, the company also became the distributor for the Power Tool Product range of De Soutter Medical UK and other reputable companies.
Became market leader
Zodiac Medicals started its Arthroplasty division. The company became a market leader for Joint Replacement in Sri Lanka, a position it continues to hold to date.
Expansion
Zodiac Medicals (Private) Limited was incorporated to better align the business segment with its name. The focus of Zodiac Medicals remained on orthopaedics while expanding into related fields like CMF (Cranio-Maxillofacial), OMF (Oral and Maxillofacial), OSP Products, Bone Cement, Disposable Drapes and Gowns, and Physiotherapy to provide a comprehensive solution for surgeons and patients.
